Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators at Chuka University
The UK–Tech Hub Kenya team, led by Country Director Mr. Enos Weswa, graced Chuka University’s 12th International Conference with their esteemed presence. Mr. Weswa delivered an inspiring keynote address emphasizing the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial capacity among university students by supporting their innovative ideas.
Together with Deputy Directors Mr. Billy Msagha and Ms. Maureen Macharia, the team also conducted an engaging and intensive session with innovators currently being mentored at Chuka University’s Technology and Innovation Support Centre (TISC).
During the session, several innovators presented their projects, including the Banana Fiber Sanitary Pad by Pamela Apuko (FHSS) / Administrative Assistant–TISC, the DravTech Timetable App by Fredrick Mbugua (FHSS) and Samuel Kibunja (FAST), and the Edu Pal App by David Muigai (FENG). The UK–Tech Hub Kenya team attentively listened to each presentation and provided personalized feedback and guidance aimed at enhancing the innovators’ projects. Additionally, Gabriel Juma (FAST) made his maiden presentation, which received commendation and encouragement from the team.
This marks yet another milestone in the fast-paced innovation journey of these young creators, who continue to benefit from continuous mentorship and exposure to growth opportunities.
